Loose skin can now be treated with a new medical technology called “Thermacell”. This process tightens the skin using focused energy (radio waves) that causes the collagen and protein in the skin to shrink. This shrinking tightens the skin and causes new collagen to form making it stronger and more resilient. The effects increase over time with maximum results achieved a few months after treatment.

ThermaCell lifts and tightens sagging skin without surgery and without downtime. ThermaCell uses radiofrequency to heat the deep layers of your skin and thereby tightens existing collagen and stimulates new collagen growth.

ThermaCell is also used to reduce fat and cellulite. It does this by improving blood flow to the treated area. It promotes the breakdown of fat cells and aids in the drainage and re-absorption of fatty deposits. This makes it a great treatment for minimizing stubborn cellulite and fatty deposits!

How Does ThermaCell differ from earlier Radiofrequency procedures?

The difference between ThermaCell and earlier radiofrequency procedures is that ThermaCell is a tri-polar and multi-polar treatment that is not painful and does not require topical anesthetic, it penetrates deeper than any previous technology (up to 30mm), treatment time is usually shorter, and you will see subtle but immediate results and continued tightening for up to six months.

How does it work?

The skin is made up of two layers, the visible layer (the Epidermis) and deeper layer (the Dermis). ThermaCell is a third generation radiofrequency technology that delivers heat to both the Epidermis and Dermis which causes a very precise injury that stimulates collagen production and immediately tightens the skin. Tired, slackened collagen is rebuilt, creating a fresh foundation, reducing fine lines and tightening the surface and deeper skin layers. Skin texture becomes firmer and smoother. Results are immediately noticeable and increase over a period of time.

How long will the ThermaCell Procedure take?

Each treatment is between twenty to forty five minutes long and is pleasant for most patients. The treatment is administered using a small hand piece, which glides across the surface of your skin delivering a warming sensation to the treated area. Multiple treatments are recommended. We suggest six treatments one or two times per week for the duration of your six treatments. This treatment is safe, non-invasive and has absolutely no downtime making it a great option for any person on the go.

When can I return to my normal activities?

You may return to your normal activities immediately, as there is usually no “downtime”. Minimal redness is seen in some patients but it usually disappears shortly after treatment.

When will I see results?

In most patients, results appear gradually over 2-6 months, although some patients see an earlier response.

How long will the effects of the ThermaCell procedure last?

Recently published studies show that improvements continue for at least six months after a single treatment session. Other studies show that thermal collagen changes can last several years, depending on the rate of the ageing process.

How does the ThermaCell Procedure change your skin?

This magnified picture of skin (before image) depicts diminished collagen density and a thinning epidermis (top layer of skin) which is typical of aging skin. Four months after the ThermaCell Procedure there is new and denser collagen and an appreciable increase in the thickness of the epidermis.
